Bit of a different sort of catch today -got the wonderful person who's been fiddling with Larsens on trail camera!
First time decoy door been opened but birds didn't escape. Next day,bale string holding decoy door cut and Larsen tipped on its side. Perch from one trap compartment put in decoy compartment.
So moved Larsen about 25 yards and set trail camera to cover it. Put 2 plastic decoy magpies in decoy compartment and awaited results.
Checked camera this morning first thing, silver haired chap in his 60's cut bale string and took decoys out, inspected them and put them back. Sprung the 2 trap compartment then went back the way he came.
Still picture of him now on village Facebook, asking if anyone recognises him. Also stated that as well as trespassing to interfere with legal pest control he's armed with bladed instrument and not to approach him, please contact me by PM or Thames Valley Police,ask for Wildlife Liaison Officer.
I'll keep you updated.
Doubt it'll be so funny once he's outed by other villagers plus a visit from the police might make him rethink his actions.

He won't be laughing if we can identify him, the boss will prefer charges against him if the cops don't, he'll make an example of him.
