I picked up a couple of new farms recently and there are a lot of corvids on both. The plan was to do a few hours on both farms on Sat so alarm went off at 4.00 and over to farm one and set up by 5.30. I set up about 50 yards off the flightline due to the best hide position etc. Mix of silos and flocked deeks with a nice clear patch and off we went. Mix of carrions and jackdaws came in nicely up until about 9.00 then tailed off a bit.
Ended the first session on 75 mixed corvids and 1 pigeon.

Headed over to the second farm and got set up about 10.30. There were a lot of crows but the issue is often that 1 shot and the whole group move to the other end of the yard.
Things started well but then went quiet with the odd one coming straight to the pattern. Pattern was good as they were landing which is always a good sign. I wanted to make a good impression so I stayed until just after 18.00 and ended on another 75 with a bonus magpie (I was across the border so its legal lol).
Good day and good to be out doing a fine job of conservation (though I enjoyed myself as well which may be frowned upon by some ...but I dont really care
