No thats a sight I cant unforget ... and not a good one

2 crows and a magpie on my check tonight and shot a squirrel too

Magpie this morning and shot another 2 squirrels
And chopped yet more braken from field edges

I think when we decoy we get some of the more social - maybe non breeding corvids
When we trap we are targeting the dominant pair in an area before we move the trap - so both techniques are extremely useful - vital

Good point and well made. I have said it before but if I had to pick the one activity I enjoy most when it comes to shooting its a good day on the corvids...unpredictable, canny birds but when its on ...my god there is no better sport (I mean conservation activity)

Yes that really is the best bit about it - doing good and enjoying it too - same as foxing and ratting and squirrel shooting
Love my pheasant shooting to and love the meal they provide - but vermin control is the best
