CBD

Not using that and depends where and what the pain is. My one leg is full of metal and the other is knackered. Both knees in similar condition. I use an oily type stuff called Uddermint which seems to help the knees and one ankle joint, the other ankle is screwed to the foot and fused so don't bother with that one.

Best thing you can do is try it and see if it works for you. I know people who swear by it for back pain and muscle spasms when applied topically, and others who have found no relief. Not tried it myself but would rather take cbd than most prescription pain killers if it would do the same job. Hell, why not just try the full octane stuff....cbd plus all the fun parts.

I've seen my mother suffering the side effects of long-term reliance on conventional pain killers, and I really don't want to end up the same.
However, I struggle to get through a day without some kind of pain relief.
I've seen CBD recommended many times by people with the same medical condition that I have, and it seems to be working well for them, but until recently I didn't know anyone personally who was using it.
Just lately though a fairly elderly neighbour of mine underwent some major surgery and subsequently has been in a lot of pain and suffering from terrible cramps and unable to sleep. She's not (and never has been) a smoker, but has started vaping CBD oil. It took 3 weeks for her to feel any benefit, but now the cramps are gone and she's sleeping well.
She bought me a vape and a bottle of oil to try. Been on it for about a week now, and while I find it very pleasant, I am yet to feel any effects.
I was just wondering if anyone on here had any first-hand experience of using CBD oil, and in particular vaping it.

You will probably get very conflicting answers, it seems to polarise opinion.

I had a tenant for 4 years who swears by CBD oil as a cure-all, he tried to get his own company started Rainbow CBD or some such name, he had a friend who so it is said cured her son's cancer by using CBD oil, I think her name was Callie Blackwell.

I'm sat waiting for the tatty little roebuck that keeps evading me in this corner.

I will message you later about this as I've years and years of using CBD which I can compare personally to various other homeopathic methods as well as mainstream treatments for ME/Cfs. It's not a silver bullet but it potentially has it's place. Will expand later.

Thank you!

I tried CBD oil and then capsules to no avail. Recently, a friend put me onto gummies with infused hemp which have however given me my first proper sleep in 11-years of ME. I don't tend to get what appears to be the classic fibro pain, but my muscles and joints seize up and get extremely painful without weekly osteopathy and sports massage.

You really need whole plant oil for pain relief, the plant has THC and CBD in it, so it should be used that way for best results.

Working offshore and drugs tested so I’ve never investigated further
Don’t know if the non THC stuff any good or if so In what form

Hey @VSS I’ve had mixed results with trying cbd, I’ve found it great for reliving migraine on the odd occasion i get them, less for joint pain. I have arthritis in my shoulder despite being in my 30’s due to an over exuberant teenage rugby season.

What have found fantastic is this, happy to be shot down in flames, it’s very open toed sandles and could be a placebo, but when you’re in pain you don’t care if it works! https://amzn.eu/d/aIPlkWX

From a roughty toughty deer stalking beef farmer! 🤣

Hi Tim I used Cbd oil for my knackered knee ,got it from Amazon.
Amazing results, ordered again same brand ,didn't do a thing tbh.
So many different strengths available but so far never repeated the first results.

Tried the capsules for pain from a fracture. Didn't work nearly as well as tramadol.

To be fair nothing works as well as tramadol 😂.

This is so common with supplements we had a guy come to the gym selling cbd just set up the company first batch were decent after that the across went right downhill.

After my accident I found the only thing that really helped the pain was gel ibrupofen and hot water bottles.

I had a friend with leukaemia and he was permanently on medication.
Hi daughter started making cannabis oil and he started taking it. Think I remember him saying it wasn’t a pleasant taste but he put it on a small piece of bread to take it.
After a not loo long period he stopped his NHS meds and used his daughter’s oil daily.
He used to go in for regular blood count? tests and the oil was working.
He passed a couple years ago, but not from cancer.
Ken.

Some of the stories you hear make you think there is something in it.

If you Google Callie Blackwell you will get plenty of info about her struggle to save her son. She seamed nice enough when I met her, and her son was running around like a good un.
