As above. My old sako 75 has had a bit of an airing this year. This has resulted in the rubberized stock getting grubbier.
Before I use anything on it, and possible suffer the dreaded sticky stock problem, I was wondering if anyone has had an original sako stockhave the creacote treatment, and how well it lasted?

Thanks for replying Ed.
I genuinely thought people had thought I'd lost my mind when I said applying cerakote to plastic stocks is a real thing.
But it does work.

I just used paint stripper on my Sako 85 sticky stock and the coating came off no issues and left me with a nice synthetic stock. Just go easy and used an old plastic card as a scraper, lots of posts on here if you search.

I strip the coating of my sticky stock Browning X bolt using rubbing alcohol, fine sandpaper and a small plastic card as a scraper. Didn't take too long to do, then I simply painted it with a couple of coats of plasticoat from an aerosol can.
