ceramic stalking knife

Does anyone market ceramic knives for hunting/stalking applications!

No expert on ceramics - but believe Boker did offer several 'field' knives a few years back - dont know if anyone still does.

Edge retention was the plus side, but the ceramic material tends to be too brittle for practical field use.

Superb for skinning, use 'normal' knife on joints.

Mike Norris has an interesting example of "Exotic" knife material, might be worth a phone call?

I would be scared to use one out in the field especially on freezing cold days gralloching reds for fear of it shattering,atb wayne

Like has been said,a little brittle for rufty-tufty stuff and they break when you drop them on the (kitchen) floor

Wow! Some amazing looking stuff there! Surprisingly cheap to for the work that must go into them. Great idea to get a gift knife made from a 'special' antler.
