Chainsaw trousers - any suggestions?

Suggestions for above please, quite the look of the Oregon chaps but equally like my legs attached to my body

We use Pfanner Gladiators and they are excellent!

Arbortec trousers are also popular - just don’t buy anything else made by them!

The husqvarna functional chaps are good , makes a change too wearing chainsaw pants all the time, and can just throw them over regular work trousers. Only wear them for carving and logging up tho , if it's for any sort of tree work I'd go arbotec pro or pfanner gladiator.

I’ve had a couple of pairs of the Husqvarna ‘classic’ trousers, and they work well. The reason why I’m on a second pair is because the first pair did their job admirably and stopped me taking my leg off when the saw bounced back. I’m not sure I’d have got the big brown stain inside them out after that either.

Wow! Good testament thanks!

I like Pfanner trousers, by far the best I've ever used, not cheap, and check out there hunting / outdoors trousers to, these are also exceptional.
Many thanks! Pretty sure you can’t get a new leg fitted for £300 so in the scheme of things ….

Bought a pair of Oregon chaps twenty+ years ago when I bought my first Stihl but felling a large 60 yr old apple tree and doing my Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-Cutting course recently confirmed they were just too bulky, heavy and sweaty. Bought a pair of Stihl FUNCTION Ergo trousers (£95 delivered) before I went back for the subsequent felling course and then NPTC assessment (passed at 66 🤗 and proof that it is at least (temporarily possible to “forget” 30+ years of bad practice) and was pleased I did. They are light years better than my old chaps, comfortable to wear, ventilated if required and with all the zipped pockets you need. Much better than the Screwfix offerings I first looked at:thumb:
