Agreed, but they are designed to do very different things. The Altasworxs is for solid stocks and does not include the actual check riser - that comes from what is carved out of the stock. The Kalix is designed for hollow stocks and includes the separate cheek riser. I’ve fitted 3 Kalix’s now to a Sako 75, 85 and a Tikka T3X, as well as receiving one factory fitted on an X-Bolt. The quality of the Kalix is great too but it’s “horses for courses” and they are not interchangeable. If I ever do a solid stock (unlikely due to the weight) I certainly will give the Atlasworxs one a try but I suspect the vast majority of people out there are working with hollow stocks for which the Atlasworxs isn’t suitable.
