Chest splitting

I’d go as far to say no one camps to stalk deer , definitely not cull anyway.

Remote camping brings firearms security issues in the UK especially if no vehicle or secure storage is present.

At a guess , mungo is referring to carcass quality and reduction/elimination of contamination caused by opening the beast head to toe and dragging it through all and sundry.
I have travelled over to an estate which I help out on a few times in the past with the tent. Pitch up in a quiet corner with the tent and away I go. As VSS mentions, sleep with rifle. All reasonable precautions are taken to prevent unauthorised access to firearm and ammunition.

I once spent a number of nights with a mate in a tent in Scotland in January. Jeezo it was cold. Luckily had my lab to keep warm at night. The loch that we were doing our washing in was frozen solid, had to break the ice to wash! 🥶 everywhere was like walking on cornflakes. Then had to drive the series 3 Landy home. Not overly productive but great fun 40 years later.

as far as I know the first batch was brought on the market by Us Real Avid under the name of Viscera but production was Italian from Maniago. Actually they came straight from Maniago under the name of Sunmmit by Maserin & Lionsteel (outsorcers also for Spyderco). Rather easy to find here in Italy but you should be able to find one on European retailers. I have mine since 3 or 4 years now. Steel is nothing more than 440c but well hardened and need some skills for sharpening but holds the edge.. Needs thumb pushing a button to release he blade and swapping to the saw-gutting hook, for safety purpose.this is mine.
Ps. Althought is fully assembled with torx screws I don't bother dismantling it. Hand wash it with a string detergent and brush and sterilize with peroxide. Use a al8ke Mora plastic sheat instead of the original nylon one .
