Chiller door parts

We have a chiller with a sliding door


The chiller has been in situ over 20 yrs - and whilst maintained regularly the door slide rail is worn and needs replacing

The door and rail are marked Fermod (France)

I’m aware they supply and manufacture high quality chiller parts

But despite extensive searching, I’m unable to find a rail profile that is similar to that Whixh is fitted to “our” (the estate) unit

The rail is an extruded alloy plate that has an upper guide fitment for stops and a lower extrusion that holds a strip of harder material - it doesn’t appear to be steel that the rollers run on hanging the door itself

The steel or hardened strip is degrading and has started to fall appart

Does any of the collective know of anywhere one may source parts for older units - such as guide rails or used items

I’ve also looked on obvious auction site

I had asked Sikadog who was very helpful in pointing towards one place but that proved negative

If anyone has an old Fermod guide rail laying around ,,,,


Buying a new door and rail isn’t really an option at the moment

Henderson's do sliding door tracks etc. try there to get the bits you need. We made some sliding fridge doors out of insulated panels and some seals. Worked fine.
