Deer Hoist - Tow Bar Mounted

Im glad I dont shoot more deer in some ways as I am stupidly fussy and hate dragging deer through mud etc....I shot 3 fallow a few weeks ago and had a 120,150 and 400 (ish) drag to the nearest point I could get the truck to. Waiting to pick a deer sled up off a mate so rolled them into a bulk bag and dragged them in that...any onlookers would have wondered WTF i was doing. The biggest was of course the furthest so gralloched him to reduce the weight a bit and then had a nice bit of light exercise. Credit to those who shoot reds...I would be getting a quad 👍

Are you sure, by the time you've set up your hoist, winched up the deer, gralloched it, swung it into the pickup, taken down your hoist, put hoist away, you could have done a ground gralloch and away and shot another!
I maybe old fashioned but I've never understood the reason for a suspended gralloch. Probably 95% of reds shot will be floor gralloched so why the push to do the smaller species?
Mine takes under a minute to put up, the reason I have one is we can all struggle bolixing deer in but pull you back and then your in pain and struggling to work. I use mine to lift my mobile welder in and out as it takes 2 people to lift it with out a hoist so it doubles up for stalking and field repairs with the 4x4 :tiphat:
