Chiller remote temperature recorder

Evening gents,
I can vaguely remember a thread regarding temperature/humidity recording apps but cant seem to find the thread, iv looked on line and found a couple of companies offering the service but seems to be a monthly tarrif system, is this what was being discussed or is there a product which can be bought and synced up to your phone ect without further cost?

My chiller is away from any wi-fi source. Will this unit still work for me?

I’m hoping to get one with a SIM card type only really need it in the fallow season for my main chiller and the one at home that could work off of wi fi hopefully - it will save a bit of walking / driving time if I can get them to work on my phone

Sounds like what you want is the Tempmate GS2T - a real time data logger that has a built in SIM card:

I've used the regular Tempmate data logger in the past and it works well, but that only connects via USB. These days I use the Govee WiFi temperature monitor, connected up to my home WiFi, which is a much better solution:

How far away? Mine was out of range, so we put a booster box of some sort (no idea of the technicals - that's not my dept) in an upstairs window and now my whole yard and larder now have good WiFi.

These aren't wifi (or at least mine isn't but sure you can get them). The cheaper ones are generally bluetooth so you just need to have your phone in bluetooth range and it updates the the temp / humidity.
