I didn't like to say, but I used Hopkins ONCE and never again. Quoted me £150 to regulate trigger pulls on a Darne shotgun. As I was struggling to get any other gunsmith to even look at it, I was compelled to go ahead. When I went to collect the gun, I was given a bill for over £300. They stated "oh, it needed a new part making for the trigger mechanism ". I pointed out to them that maybe they should have contacted me BEFORE doing the work ? The cost of the repair was over half the value of the gun !

Well, I believe that could well have been the case. They did keep the old bit to show me and it looked a touch 'got at'
