Must be quite hard work for a dog with short legs and limited ground clearance. This was my Teckel’s first experience of proper snow 
Just use the excellent SD's search feature (top right) and put in Teckel. I'm sure others will be along shortly to fill the gap in your knowledge.................

I had an 8 year old rescue golden cocker from a London address that apparently had never been walked on grass......the first time out was amusing, to say the least......I had a vet look at him, but he was OK.
He went on to be a great retriever, but he never liked handing them over.

I used to rough shoot with the cocker, and whilst I know that dachshunds were used for badger baiting, I didn't realise that a teckel was simply the European name for a dachsund.

Colloquially Dackel / Teckel in the German hunting fraternities.
