Worth remembering that the Red Book was replaced by the CIC in 2014. The system now in use is the TES.
The Blue Book was never updated after its only published edition, so the scores quoted for a number of species (including Muntjac and Chinese Water Deer) are not those currently in use.

Tim,
The red book gives guidance on how to
measure all the different types of animals and the blue book sets out the various medal standards.
It sounds as though they may be obsolete now though.
