Watched it last week. Not the greatest acting, but the story was (I'm sure) poignant.

Just by it being banned, gives credence to it's message of frustration by the everyday citizen, feeling unheard by their "leaders".

There is a message and lets be honest in thinking that somewhere someone will be insane enough to emulate.

Watched it a couple of evenings ago. Hardly Oscar winning quality but slightly better than watching East Enders.

Have never seen EE`s but the movie delivers a pointed message...The clues for the detectives are numerous...not leaving the wrist slitter with the victim..nary a glove for door handles nor voddy bottle bla blah but is not about that and they were ignored on purpose.

Watched it. Very disappointing, terrible, worse than terrible. Social media hype and that's about it. I've seen better acting and plots in low budget porn films. Save your time for something better.

It all about the message though . That's what's driven the hype. I'd describe the actual genre as a really low budget Deathwish style but without the charisma of Mr Bronson.

the controversy is interesting but it’s not a great movie.

Its atrociously comically bad. Ignore the insane premise for a second. In one scene the "hero" plays chicken with another car on the highway, who veers off and explodes into flames, so he can "teach" a morality lesson to a judge about how people follow the law. Like a psycho move, then its never mentioned again.

The director is not known for "high art". Its like a B movie made for TV type thing.

Seems director shrewdly capitalising on zeitgeist to make bank.

No the victims that were shot in CV. Though I seem to recall the who'll premise of DW was to punish some Rapey types too.

Thats it,the message. It is of course not Olivier quality acting as we all know. The people or at least an unreal amount of people have had enough by living under Westminster law and seeing crime perpetrators walk away.
As far as knocking that family and the other gang members its nothing compared to Benicio Del Toro wiping out the cartel kingpin and family in Sicario.
