Anyone going to bother watching?



Having been unfortunate enough to suffer experience the pain joys of involuntary, unpaid agricultural related labour, I'm quite interested to see what goes on.

He was on Jonathon Ross the other night talking about it. Apparently his tractor driver doesn't hold back and Jeremy gets a good bollocking quite regularly

Can’t wait for it! He brilliant….I know he has people that dislike him but he’s one of the few presenters that has me in tears of laughter with his programs.

I suspect it will be just one manufactured scenario after another. Had i Amazon Prime i would still watch it though, for purely entertainment reasons. I like Clarkson,he is a funny man. His books are a hoot.

Quite possibly. But as you say, given Clarkson's sense of humour, and his ability to laugh at himself, I think it'll be hilarious

I’ve read all his books and he’s a very good writer/author…he just has a good sense of humour, and I don’t believe he’s as daft as he makes on…saw a vid recently and he had some very nice beretta shotguns and he’s apparently not a bad shot…

Well, after doing some I got the whole series and binge watched it.

Worrying that someone like JC who has made so much money selling 'the man' mage is so impractical, but suspect he played up some parts being naive, he knows how to make good TV.

Highlights were the young farmer who had to bail him out all the time and of course JC's GF

Quite a few shots of Roe bucks, surprised they never did any deer stalking or the like. He has a pheasant shoot too which they never mentioned. Maybe trying not to alienate the green/vegan brigade...

JC played a background role and provided someones known name to draw a crowd.

I’m not the biggest fan of Clarkson but it’s a very watchable series so far imo. Obviously doesn’t cover every aspect, nor any shooting so far, but thats not its remit. Perhaps its biggest value may be in showing Joe Public what hard work farming is (as done by the experts on call to help Clarkson) and hopefully generate some sympathy with working farming as opposed to the ”rewilded” idyll being peddled by some.
