Stage-managed or not its well-entertaining IMHO but I would much rather his Farm Shop sold a fragrance representative of a women’s nether regions than that of Clarkson’s bollocks.

Agreed, and I can't remember Countryfile ever trying to promote British agriculture.
I hope the coffee was made within the requisite distance of his farm shop and you're not breaching his planning restrictions!

When it appears in Oz I shall definitely watch it. I enjoy his intellect. It shall be interesting to see how he copes with the realities of agriculture.

I thoroughly enjoyed the series great comedy but also does a very good job of highlighting the red tape and costs of day to day farming. Potential Big changes ahead in agriculture with the sustainable farming plan Government unveils path to sustainable farming from 2021
I think his parting words of the series show sum it up perfectly
“what are farmers going to do, the ones who don’t have an Amazon film crew following them round and who wants to be a millionaire to top up the income”

Also shows that the previous contractor made £90k when everything went ok.
That’s even taking into consideration clarksons expense of machinery.
Obviously there would be ground rent to factor in but the contractor will be spreading the cost of machines.
Far better life than working in an office.
But my math(s) isn’t even at clarksons grade so I’m probably well off. Nice to dream. Then again getting prompt up by a bank would be rough. You have to have money to make money.

Why on earth would anyone want the BBC anywhere near it. They already have Country Fail!
I have just finished it and enjoyed it immensely. As others have said it managed to capture a lot of what farming is about - stuff breaking, plans going wrong, bad weather, hard work, pointless red tape and lack of financial return. They must have a huge behind the scenes team to set everything up. Which farmer honestly has time to start all those ventures and businesses in one year. But I guess it makes for more interesting TV than just watching sheep and crops grow.
Maybe Clarkson could try being a gamekeeper next year.
