Has anyone got any experience cleaning the New Wildcat Evolution Moderator?

Method and best cleaning technique/cleaner would be useful. Looks like stripping it down is simple enough !

Thanks in advance. ;)

i used wd 40 on my wildcat absolutley drown it ,then legia gun oil on a rag to clean it for storage no problem ,some use parafin .the main thing is dont leave it on your rifle as the post shooting chemical crud will eat your crown and threads atb

Does anyone clean their mod in an ultrasonic cleaner?

Is a general ultrasonic cleaning solution likely to cause any problems cleaning a wildcat mod?

I’ve just opened mine up after 200 rounds and just gave it a wipe and put it back together with a smidge of copper grease.
Didn’t need anything more.

I clean all of mine in my ultrasonic cleaner. Just disassemble remove O rings and put in bath. Rinse in water then distilled water and dry in low oven. Replace O rings as required. I spent ages on line durring lock down sourcing O rings and eventually found a good supplier so now easy job. I Use high vacuum silicon grease on the o rings and copper grease on the threads. Normally no issues when they need to be stripped but if tight use a Baby Boa.

That's great. Did you order new o rings because the existing ones were damaged or do you just replace every time?

Sorry for the delay in replying.

I ordered O rings from Hydraulic Equipement Supermarkets Gloucester. They were very helpful. I haven't got the sizes to hand but may be able to find my order.

Most were metric but I think I had to get some imperial BS o rings, easy to look up on E bay.
