I think if our client isn't doing it as a day trip they would be seriously pushing their luck unless both home and destination are in tier 1.

Still a few driven game shoots going on locally, as long as all guns and beaters are local.
Think all the commercial boys fighting over local guns/parties.
Can see there being done cheap shooting coming up as I can't see London /English guns being allowed to travel up freely come dec

Our area is tier 2 so can't get anyone in from any higher tiers.
A shoot I'm going to this week used to get 2 car loads down from an area that's just went to tier 4 so they've been told to stay away.

Dunno how hospitals are with u wull ? But absolutely empty here and have been right since march

I'm not obliged to tell you anything. I posted what the Scottish Government had actually published, and a comment on it.

Sorry chap, you misunderstood my post, I said D&C police, I can't speak for other forces, or where you are and your forces interpretation of the rules you have clearly stated.

What I can say is, my own position I am not willing to guide anyone as it is impractical, you can't share the same car to travel to the area, and parking 2 cars just will not work.

Obviously it makes sense for you to do as you see fit.
On the whole, I think D&C police are unlikely to successfully argue that they are not subject to English law.

Having thought about that, it's both a ridiculous argument and totally bogus. Going stalking is no more dangerous than going for a walk. Emergency services are going to be no more endangered by a call out now than any other time. Additionally, they are trained NOT to endanger themselves.

Personally I have nor worked since the 31st of January this year all my clients are Euopean so restrictions both here
and there coupled with quarantine requirements have made it impossible.
Looks !ike May next year at the very earliest before I can resume.
Never mind if Covid hasn't got me by then bankruptcy will have.

Tough times indeed old son. I know how disappointed I am to not be up in your part of the world this incoming weekend for a full weeks stalking - having already had to postpone from October so it must be pretty damn grim being in your position. Living in NI I looked at every possible way of doing it but Mrs Krankie pretty much scuppered me even though I would have been in an estate cottage 2 miles from anyone/where.
All I can say is that better times are ahead and the demand for quality stalking will always be here. I have again rescheduled for May so if you have a slot and are ok with it I might take a day with you then. In the interim I guess we all just have to hunker down and wait for those better times. All the best.

Our xmas period driven hunts have been cancelled over here in Germany in my area (Bavaria) even though our lockdown was supposed to finish earlier than that.

As a professional guide on Dartmoor as I far as I understand offering client or guided stalking commercially during lockdown is against the law. Just wondering what everyone’s else’s thoughts are especially pro guides?

F.LS have stopped me visiting my deer permission because recreational stalking is seen as non essential travel

Reading it more carefully, this isn't really a restriction as it doesn't say "which must be within 5 miles", merely "it could be". Typical sloppiness when something is rushed through as a knee-jerk reaction.

And as of the 26th, "could be" has been changed to "can be"
