Condor thoughts?

I'll prob just get the Falcon to be honest - I don't need the LRF bit and as far as I can tell the specs on the Condor CQ35 and Falcon FQ35 are the same but no LRF on the Falcon?
Have a falcon on loan untill (if) my condor is repaired , great unit but a bit big and condor -axion shape size suits me better . I find front lens cover fiddly on falcon and and one hand use not that easy .

Anyone had their Condor back from 'remedy', I have a feeling my doe season is slipping past without it?
Agree on the Falcon, my wifes one is lovely but the condor is more handy and easier to work with single handed.

Aside from this issue, I LOVE the unit. Like others, I like the Axion shaped unit, it sits in the hand really well. The image quality is unbelievable. The functions are easy to use and the app is good.

I'm currently looking to see how I can mount a belt clip on the side so I can temp clip it to my bino pouch when I need to be hands free.....

It might be possible if left on the desk with the power saving feature on, on basic settings.

In the meantime, go back to your pulsar ... :p

Wasn’t jibing - just 3 hours use with no sign of any battery drain sounds as bad as the other end of the spectrum currently experienced with the Condor - ie could face immediate shut down while the batt showed full.

Was also interested in the Condor and now the Habrok, so watching with interest.

Seeing as you’ve sent back faulty the Gryphon, Axion 2 and a Condor (I forget the total number of units 😆) in the past year, I look forward to the no bull tried and tested review of the Habrok. 👍

Has anyone actually had the unit off to HIK, repaired and back in use working properly yet? I'm loathe to send mine in until I'm sure that this 'fix' actually works?

Mine is now back, well a replacement unit at any rate. In my somewhat chilly office a fresh battery has just lasted 2hrs 12mins. It still has 1bar left, but for all intents and purposes I'm calling it flat at this stage as the rangefinder packs in at 1bar.
That was with the screen on all the time and a fair bit of playing about with it at the back door, messing with the rangefider and going through menus etc.
Do I mind swapping batteries every 2hrs? Not sure yet… I'd rather not, but it's not a massive chore if you get your pockets organised and you know a change is going to be needed at least once a night.

It is a lovely bit of kit, honestly it is, but they have shot themselves in the foot by not doubling up on the battery compartment and giving it twice the life.
The unit finally shut down after 3hrs 46mins, so that's 2:12 with rangefinder capability followed by 51mins on one bar and 43mins with no bars at all and a critical red battery symbol.
I think their intention is "probably" that the laser carries on working until all the bars vanish, but something is clearly wrong with the battery levels as it carried on with no bars for an astounding 43mins. Whether a future firmware upgrade can fix this and give more laser life, I do not know. I am undecided what to do to be honest. It's a lot of money for something that doesn't live up to expectations. If the laser worked until that last bar vanished I would have no complaints at all.

Update coming soon

Has anybody purchased a Condor and not had any issues with it!
Hik van at Dauncey guns next week I expect there will be some interesting conversations.
D

Actually i gave them the benefit of the doubt and purchased two, from two different retailers.
Both pants...

Spoke to Scott Country couple days ago as I purchased one and laser range finder is out of action within a 10 pings. Battery life is around 1:30mins. They told me to wait for the firmware update which should resolve issue. Look forward to hearing any updates and fingers crossed firmware will fix or it’s going back.

I Sent my first one back over 8 weeks ago and it appears they are still not sorted. My second one was sent back seven weeks ago. Hik and elite told me in writing that it needs a part and firmware uodate will not sort it. Don't why they are still being sold.

They told me when I questioned all the issues,

A part has been found to be coming loose during shipping, this did not show up under normal testing (take that however you like) and the first batch supposedly were all susceptible to this failure and they were working through getting them back and a fix for that, possibly that was the new part ?

It sounds as if they have two issues, this broken part and the battery life been poor.

So reading between the lines here, some will need to go back for mechanical repair, and some (possibly all by sounds of it) need a software update to sort the battery life/rf/battery bar issues 🤷
What I do know for sure, it’s put me off changing over to one, certainly at this present time until I hear some better feedback from current users
