Converting stable to chiller

I have access to several stables on the farm I live on which are a mixture or brick and stone.
I’m looking to create a larger chiller in order to handle two or three reds at a time.
The prep area I can sort with plastic panelling and concrete paint.
Any suggestions on what or how to do the chiller area?

Buy that separately. Maybe a reconditioned unit?
Make sure you get one that's appropriate to the internal volume of the space you're trying to chill.

you could still keep a horse in it, well for around 3 weeks

Some advice for you.

1. Make sure it’s high enough
2. Make sure you insulate the floor.
3. Try to have a handling system. Reds can be large and long when hanging up.

I have a maybe 9 ft square larder/chiller in half a large old stable. Basically a Marine Ply box with insulation on all 4 walls, floor and ceiling. I have a Norcool chiller that runs about 3 degrees C and has done for more than 20 years so would recommend then if they still do UK

it is painted on the inside - no idea what with but it is water resistant

Cellar paint is washable and available in white, I did part of the inside of my larder room with it (smooth plastered block work), the immediate work prep area walls I did with plastic cladding sheets.
