Copper options for Sako .308

Factory or reloads? The Sako Blade 120 gr or the Pro 130’s will be worth a try. If reloading take your pick of 120 - 150gr bullets, personally I like 130’s

I've been using the 162 Gr Sako Blades for a year or so on everything from muntjac to reds and have been quite impressed with them and not had any issues at all. Not cheap though!

Traveled up to north Yorkshire on Saturday and bought the rifle in mind, bought a box of Sako blade 120 grain to try on the way up. Didn’t get great group but wasn’t particularly stable shooting, ok with a lead load that previous owner used, they were better again not a perfect shooting rest. I’m sure it will be better when zeroed up later in the week with its new scope.

Tried some Wapiti 127gr copper in my 595 and it shot very nice groups.

Was only three shot groups so not super statically relevant but, it did seem to like them.

It didn’t love the 162 gr Blades. They shot well enough and would do the job but didn’t shoot as well as anything else I tried.
