Heard one yesterday in Surrey.

Usually a lucky charm for me, but it was cancelled out by the hex of seeing 14 deer (3 different spots) on the drive to the venue…

Heard one last week, first one in years. It always amazes me how we hear that call with such fondness, when in reality it is a truly parasitic psychopathic mimic of a bird. Wonderfull how it changes the colour of eggs to that of the host. And it cant even be bothered to look after its own offspring. Quite unique.

Heard a few in the Trossachs.

Hadnt heard a cuckoo for many years, went to France over easter and had one in the trees behind our accomadation, lovelly to hear

Heard and saw a pair on Tresco (Isles of Scilly) last week. First one I have heard since I was a kid on the outskirts of Birmingham. I was pleased as punch!
