CZ 457 or older CZs and Brnos

I hope you've had a good weekend so far,

Is the CZ 457 series of rimfire rifles really better and worth it over the older CZ 455/453/452 models,

Are the older models better built than current production, perform better than the new ones ?

Just wanting people's thoughts

Nice one very good just proves that older manufactured products more than good enough regardless of age.

I thought the pricing of the new CZ 457 rimfires is a bit excessive/overpriced

There's a few members at the club I shoot at still own cz452 and 455's. I can also confirm they still shoot very well.

If I was after a new cz for all round work it would have to be the cz457 lrp, lovely rifle. If I owned a cz452/455 I personally wouldn't consider upgrading.

I have a 452 American in .17hmr , had a 455 in .22lr but fancied something new so got the 457 camo stainless in .22lr. All of them absolute tack drivers and you can't go wrong with either one of them.

To be fair the cz457 LRP has been the best .22 I have ever own on every level.

I fancied the LRP myself, it's a real beauty but I couldn't justify the budget for it so I settled for the Optifade Timber camo stainless .

Run a 452 American hmr only downside is getting after market stocks for them, they shoot very well and not to ammo fussy.

Aye very good, yours runs all factory loads reet well by sounds of it.my farmer friend has a cz 455 American with 16" barrel

Short and compact, I think from what he's told me in past like yours in hmr not ammo fussy at all,

They still have them around though stocks for cz 452, just harder to source for?

I have the exact same hmr apart from mine has the synthetic stock

Had my CZ 452 LR since 2009,it just works & very accurately too with that.

Our club operates 2 x CZ452 models for members' use and they function well. A couple of members have purchased the CZ457 LRP models and they are very good. If I was in the market for a .22LR rifle, it would be the CZ457 LRP.

I have both the 455 and 457 and they both shoot.
If I was to start again now I’d go straight for the 457. The trigger in the 457 out the box is far better.
If you like to tinker and upgrade, the 457 is the way to go too.
