CZ 527 replacement barrel

Good morning everyone, anyone aware of any suppliers in the UK who may import CZ barrels?
I am looking for a replacement CZ 527 barrel in .223 REM. In addition to this, has anyone changed a CZ 527 barrel?
Looking at the CZ schematic, it looks like the barrel is just threaded into the receiver (no doubt with some sort of thread lock).
Thank you in advance!

Better off getting a gunsmith to do it (most barrels are ‘just threaded’) head space will need to be set correctly and proof is a good idea, essential if you sell it in the future.

They usually a really very tight without thread lock. They are that tight they don't need no thread lock.
Then there is the indexing for the extractor and possible sights.
Machining for head space is required too.
Google it.

Thank you all for the replies, I will contact Sportsman Gun Centre (SGC), and thanks 25 Sharps, a gunsmith will be fitting it.

From (nasty) personal experience, make sure the gunsmith you choose has tooling to deal with such a small action. I had a CZ ruined when the old barrel was removed and the Smith couldn't machine the burrs off - as it wouldn't fit a Remington jig.
I did look at a different Smith for remedial action, but eventually got a Sako 75 instead.
I had the CZ deactivated (I have a large collection , for reference) as a reminder to be more cautious in future!

I had my CZ527 re-barrelled, not with one from CZ but a Tikka 22-250 new old stock one the 'smith had.
iirc the thread is tapered to make the job a little bit harder. He cut the barrel down and cut a new chamber in 222. I was very pleased with the end result, however I (or rather my RFD) has found me a Sauer 202 in 223 which fills a "one gun" idea I am trying to achieve. So it is now surplus to requirements. That said it has been a very accurate little rifle. A decent Gunsmith should have no trouble sorting a new barrel for you.

CZ527 tenon thread is not tapered. Did one last week.
There you go. My last three rifles have been done by either Neil or James at Jager - fantastic workmanship in all cases. I wouldn't bother sourcing a CZ barrel, they'll put something decent on it for you and save you the bother of arranging it for yourself.

That’s great to know: I am rather hoping that is my CZ that Neil is working on!

The rifle he did for me was flawless. You've picked a nice little action there too. I'm a big fan of the 527.
That’s really good to hear.
i agree with you about the CZ527 action: absolutely lovely proportions for smaller rifle cartridges - I am having a .222 Remington re-barrelled, and am getting positively excited!
