CZ 527 stocks

Hi all,

I’m new to the site so apologies if this is being discussed elsewhere.

I’ve recently picked up a CZ 527 in .223 - it’s stamped 00 and has the classic “Germanic style” curved stock.

Does anyone on here have experience outfitting 527’s with new stocks? I’m looking at replacing it. My options are a walnut .223 advertised on airgun spares (but the inletting looks wrong and not one solid gap for the gun itself), or a synthetic in .222. I appreciate it’s the wrong calibre and thus different dimensions, but does anyone know if the stocks are made to fit?

If anyone has any pointers or knows of any spares websites, please let me know. I do restore hardwood stocks so S/H is no trouble.

Wish I’d of just got the carbine model instead…

Again, new to the site so hope this is the right topic to post under. Thanks for reading.

I put mine in a Boyds, replacing the soft plastic one on an M1 flat mag version, and it just dropped in and works fine.

Cheers everyone.

Current stock is nice to look at, but not keen on the feel. Not a lot of hand room on the fore-end, and had to pack out the butt plate. It’s coming off as it’s battered and needs a refinish.

Do prefer the traditional American style stock. Anyway, Boyd’s sounds like it’s worth a crack then.

Ethan.
