CZ 600 Trail, 2moa guarantee?

I have been looking into this rifle for a while and
been put off by the 2moa guarantee (like many i suspect)

Thek i watched a reviewer stack 223 right on top of one another.

So i decides i wanted the inside scoop. I mailed around to get in touch with someone.

Their explanation:

Thank you for your message.

I don't think you have to worry. The 2 MOA will be a case rather for 7.62x39 or .300 BLK. For .223 Remington I am sure you will be able to get better results. Of course it is not a gun for target shooting, it is more of a prepper gun which needs to be practical. But my colleagues from the product team claim you will be fine for sure. If you will use quality .223 Remington ammo of course.

As for the handloads, we of course do not recommend that, but quality factory ammo like 223. Remington HPBT 69 gr S&B ammo works great. The user manual should give you more info

In my original question i asked wether it could keep up with cheaper rifles like the mauser m18, sauer 100, or howa 1500. While they didnt outright say so i interpret their response as a "yes but use heavy bullets"

MOA guarantees are not worth the paper they’re written on. They seem to be unable or unwilling to accurately define their guarantee even then.

So a reviewer stacked three rounds on top of each other, most of us have done this in the past but it is not the norm. Besides three rounds is statistically insignificant. If they could do that with thirty rounds repeatedly then I would be interested.

it was multiple 5 shot groups. Not that i have any horse in the race, i considered buying one but then found a 527 for 1/4 the money last night. I jumped on it. Just figured it would be interesting to share their response.

I’m sure you’ll be happy with accuracy CZ527 in 223 is a good gun 👍
I had a 222 before, sold it because it wouldnt shoot a damn and you could shake the bolt open with a round chambered. Wrote them off at the time but since decided the chanse is 9/10 it was worn out long before i bought it

I have it’s predecessor the Cz557 in .308, I was skeptical at first about it as it seemed to have changed a lot since the 550 which I also have but I am honestly blown away by how accurate it is and not fussy at all on weights or types of bullets. It will stack rounds on top of each other regardless if it’s cheap rounds or better quality brands. Brilliant value for money

I have several (ahem!) 527s and they shot fine...better than fine. The 600 trail in 7.62 Russian or 300 BO advertised a 2 MOA gun really put me off spending $1200 US on one.-Muir

1200 US 😂 they go for 1800 here. supposedly the 2MOA is because the ammo/ cartridge is likely less acurate. thats above my paygrade. They did at some point have a better guarantee but from what i piece together its them covering their ass. at 1k id give it a shot in 223. but i can buy a tikka + chassis for that price over here. And that wirestock just seems like a poor decision honestly, I get that its to make it light and compact but a folding skeleton stock could have done that job. At least make it compatible with AR parts or something.

Looking at more reviews tho, i do believe them on it being mire accurate than guaranteed. More like a 1moa rifle with heavy bullets. Wich i would accept at a lower price point or more modularity in the chassis.

The reality is, more brands make micro length actions, barrels can be chopped down, and a folding chassis would then bring the package to a similar price depending on what you buy and where.

Altho i sadly found out the elf owl chassis is discontinued
