Even though my MP said he supported the bill (.50 cals are big and scary dont you know!) I reached out to BASC about it as well and they have reached out to him as a result.
We have GOT to keep making noise about further restrictions like this. Even if the reponse isnt immediate support of shooting and a confession they have seen the error of their ways, it lets MPs know that we are out here, that we have a voice, that we are watching what they are doing and we're not just going to roll over to an ever increasing list of pointless bans.
Respond to every consultation, email your MP, write to your shooting organisations and generally make a total nuisance of yourselves. If we dont, they'll ban it all eventually or restrict it so much that all we have available is .22 at 25 yards with club guns.
