Wanted: David Stretton/ Donnington Deer Management pull saw

Some how, and I've no idea how, I've managed to mislay my DS pull saw - very probably gone in the dead pit with a bucket full of gralloch

So, before I stump up for a new one... has anyone on here got one they're not using any more & would be willing to part with??

Mine had (has) a black handle - didn't know you could request different colours?

Can't now recall if I supplied the handle (sacrificial cheap knife) or DS sourced one. It was though a specific request via email.

I have drilled a 6mm hole in the end of the handle(s - I have 3 of them) and secured the saw to the roesack by a length of cord to the shoulder strap ring of my roe sack(s) via a small tractor safety pin passing through aforementioned drilled hole in the handle. The saw only comes off the line and out of the moulded alkathene pipe sawblade protector when splitting the carcase during the gralloch, then it goes straight back onto the line. Easy to remove back at the larder for cleaning.

Swivel lobster claw clasp to rucksack ring, cord to safety pin, pin through hole in handle. The saw is sheathed and tucked into the folded rolled up liner inside, and that is held in place by bungee cord on the rucksack outer, making for a compact sausage of kit on your back, you can also put the gralloching mora in there so it’s aye there if you happen to forget your pocket gralloching knife;

No, but it’s fairly easily opened using the saw as the lever, and I make sure it’s back through the handle before closing again. That said, I’ve been nipped by the bigger rings on the tractor, so I know what you mean
