Deep cut

The glue must go on the wound, not in it. Pinch the edges together and apply like a steristrip. There is a paper on using the hair to appose the edges

He didn’t mention the dog holding its leg or anything. If you run to the vets every time you had something like that, you’d be out of pocket with working dogs.
And I’d be in pocket. How else to am I to keep myself in whisky and cartridges?! I’ve seen too many simple wounds go bad, hence the caution.

Glue - yes you need to make a decision if it is infected or not, had to be clean, or cleaned

Ok, if you say so.

one of my spaniels cut herself in almost the same spot 10 day's ago, I've just taken the staples out today and all looks well.
with regards to treating it yourself unless you are confident in doing so go to the vet's to be safe.
a well stocked first aid kit is an absolute life saver," literally".
for future use and to gain experience in using staples practice on, maybe a dead deer or fox ,bit gruesome but it will give you a feel for it.IMG_20251208_113917.webpIMG_20251208_113917.webp

I keep one of these in my jeep and another at home.

Try this from a horsey supplier, clean the wound well, add some lotion, and bandage to cover, helps the healing process
