Deer Hunter 2014 - Android game

shoot at them, they will run around, and then they come at you, at the last minute, it kinda aof goes in slow motion as it launches atyou. It will show which organs you need to hit in its chest, just make sure the cross hairs on it, do the same for the next one. If fact it works on all the animals that charge you, wolves bears etc etc, let them come to you.

Indeed it does work on predators. It does not work at wilderbeasts, springbocks etc..

Right, South Africa - fourth region...

Currently 14/40 on the hunting series, saved up all I can to get a decent rifle and just splashed 90k on buying and upgrading a maginot lineman, as the already hugely expensive and fully upgraded westin warfighter doesn't have enough power for anything beyond this point, or any of the south african trophy hunts... but it got me through to here - I would recommend saving up and getting that as early as you can and missing out something in between (less shotgun or assault rifle upgrades)

hints so far - if you got an ar15 early on, thats surprisingly still reasonable for the contract hunts here, but its a bit 'rapid fire' to down three hippo's with multiple shots and no good for 6 wildebeest, not enough power. the original shotgun, with upgrades is ok too, and fine for 10 quail and 10 jackals, oh, oj the bird shoots, keep moving around, it flushes more birds.

hope that helps a bit.

Thanks for the tips! I haven't bought any assault rifles as it clashes with my sensitivities, but then this is just a game, for Pete's sake, I need to get over my hang-ups. There's a contract hunt on Region 2 that requires an assault rifle so I suppose I need to cleverer about my ressource management.

The feature where it stops you playing for ten minutes or so because you've run out of energy is weird, but it does prevent me from spending too much time on this.

No, I do it too. Although zebras really are soft: hit them sideways on in the tail and they keep over and die. I even appear to have killed a gemsbok by shooting the air next to it.

oh, another handy hint - if you need a rifle with, for example, "176 power" and "78% stability" for a trophy hunt, then buying the new, more powerful rifle, and equipping as your primary or secondary, and keeping your older rifle that has the required stability but not the power as the other, will get you through.

and the power rating is only really an issue on the trophy hunts, where it won't let you proceed, as the other ones will let you play through, but the heart shots become really tough as you can't easily get a second shot - with lung shots or just 'kill' you can generally muddle through.

I wish I could sell my old rifles/shotguns/assault rifles. I have upgraded al three (plus pistol) from all three regions (that is 9 fully upgraded guns plus pistol) and they are taking up space. Has anyone used the 'sports drink' and the 'hollows'? What do they do?

hollowpoint doubles the power - good if you have a hippo or rhino charging stage

havent used the energy - the 'animal call' lets you take up where you left off - so if you shot eight of your fifteen, you can do the other seven in another round of the same stage.

And, hurrah, I've finished stage four... going back to build up a decent , more powerful, shotgun now!

Thanks for that! I am almost finished with stage 4 too, and there is a stage 5 coming, apparently. But I always take my time and built up funds as I want to have all available rifles/shotguns and assault rifles out of curiosity. There is a rather easy way to built up funds and you do not have to do anything whatsoever... Just go to the trophy hunts and...fail. Especially in regions 3 and 4 the returns for a failed trophy hunt are considerable...

Bought a decent shottie and use that instead of the ar15. Bought big mags for it. It's got more power and knocks most over. Keep plugging away until I can afford that big rifle.. Had to take it off my phone as I was playing it at work. Oops.

Right, I just managed to buy the Hauer Hammer assault rifle for 46k cyberquid, having just started region 3. I couldn't kill anything anymore. I think I may have to buy the sniper rifle too, the ones I have aren't powerful enough. But first of all, I'm going to try machine-gunning cougars.

Obviously I don't believe that violent computer games make one violent, as I have as yet never once tried to machine gun any wildlife. Couldn't afford the ammunition anyway.

Done it, finished.
The sections with large numbers of animals can be completed with the largest magazine on the rifle.
The secret is that you have to make your first shot count. When you come to reload then don't wait for a full re load just press the fire button when you have enough in to complete your numbers
Failing that buy some napalm.
Roll on region 5

I'm not sure if it's the same game as the one for the iPhone. If it is, it is good fun.
I got the 50 cal package one weekend when it was on sale.

Never had a runner since!

Strange that!
