Deer hunter ram 2.g jacket any good?

Hi all

Picked up the above mentioned jacket today at the sportsman sale. Seemed to tick the boxes I wanted. Waterproof windproof breathable. Good array of features and from what I've seen reviews are mostly positive. I aim for it to be my cold/foul weather stalking jacket mainly although of i grow fond of it may use it more. Only slight megative from wearing it so far is the re enforced latches on the elbows whilst useful do seem a little noisy. Anyone got much real world experience of them? Seemed a good deal for 80 sheets

Good choice - Deerhunter has some products which are the right compromise between price, quality and branding. I have used the Deerhunter RAM Hitena trousers for 8-9 years now - and only on my 2nd. pair. And you can't have 'silent' as well as reinforced area's that are bramble/thorn-proof. It is a trade-off....soft silent clothes will get damaged quicker.

I like them. The trousers especially, shame deerhunter have discontinued the range. Had a pair of the hitena fronted trousers and they gave up one day when I was absolutely soaked through. Convinced the hitena held the water and all the extra weight caused the seams to go, been no problem on the jacket though and it’s seen some wet weather

Cheers for the input gents.
Stalked with it yesterday morning and was very pleased with the performance. Kept me plenty warm while stalking slowly. Didn't overheat me when dragging a carcass out so hopefully it'll last me a good while yet!
