Loads of chat on the jackets and smocks but what are the trousers like? The deerhunter trousers I have are no longer available and I need something new, are these comfortable for all day walking?

Just from the description it sounds like it’s a heavy lump. Unless you are in subzero conditions I would get someting without any lining for all-day walking.

I won't buy Deerhunter clothing anymore. I bought a pair of their supposed 'outdor/shooting' trousers some years ago only to have them tear like tissue paper on the very first day I wore them. A tiny bramble frond caught them and that was it .. a right-angle tear some 6" x 4" in the leg.
I e-mailed the company to express my disappointment. Not one word of a reply did I get from them on the matter. Our financial relationship ended right then and there.

These days I tend to wear a variety of styles by Percussion. I love the way they always seem to fit (they are cut well) and they're reasonably priced. They do 'warm' trousers (micro-fleece lined) and for the really cold nights treat yourself to some Grand Nords

I've got a pair, they're OK, warm and waterproof but if you do decide on a pair, try them on. The sizing is variable. Having said that my next pair will probably be Percussion.
