I have a Delta Titanium HD 2.5-15 x 56 scope and would like to know how to remove the push/pull turrets as I would like to install a shim/washer to enable a DIY zero stop.
(The Bushnell Elite 6500 has the same turrets if that helps)
i dont think that would work with that tipe off turret bud have not triyed that with mine but as the cap is i asume held with a spring which just uses tension to engage with the turret lock mecanism if you put eney thing under the cap you would be disengaging the turret lock as the cap would not engage the lock as it would be in the lifted position
I assume you'd put the shim under the mechanism not the cap So the spring issue mentioned above wouldn't matter? Not sure how the cap come off though??
is there not a aloy stikker in the senter of the cap if so this would have to be removed to get to the spring underneath on my sightron s3 you can remove the cap and put washers on top of the mecanism to stop down ward travel if you coul remove the cap on your delta there is still a spring on top of the mecanism puting a washer on top then the spring would still disengage the locking mecanism the ajusting cap would still be to high ie lifted from its locking position would just spin it has to be pushed down to engage to change poi realy dont think you can do what your triying to do with these tipe of turret caps sorrey for spelling im dislexic
Actually, a shim can work with that sort of turret IF the top caps are left off and the shim is used with the turret (extended) locked down on the shim. Split collets are the option where you don't want to remove the turret cap labels which would invalidate the warranty (you have to remove them to get to the screw which holds the mechanism in place).
