Hi guys, any of you D&C lot applied for a variation recently? Just sent it for mine and just wondering if anyone has any pointers on turnaround time? Friend of mine just got his back after 2 months of waiting but heard the average is 2 weeks? All suggestions are appreciated, cheers

I think things are slowly improving at D & C. My shooting mate has just got his renewal through after 14 months! The new staff seem keen on catching up, but I suspect it will take a while,

Had my coterminous renewal letter sent through about 3 weeks ago (certs run out end of feb) sent back and doctors form sent to the surgery the following week. Will see how things go…. D&C used to be a speedy and easy to deal with outfit back in the day. Hopefully they are moving in the right direction and getting back to where they were not so many years ago

They've had some bad press about this but apparently the event is still going on.

My last D&C variation took over 2 months. Like Neilst, I hope they get back to being as good as they used to be. However, I'm not optimistic, because the current situation is wholly due to bad police management and has nothing to do with any extraneous event like covid.

No consistency. I’ve been waiting nearly 13 months. Had a call from a FEO two weeks ago promising to deliver the new tickets soon.
Others wait two weeks.
It’s a shambles.

Mine took 6 days, that was around 6 weeks ago.

If the Sportsman can pull the variation deal off kudos to them and the police for getting together, at least it might clear a lot of variations and enable the police to concentrate on renewals and grants
