Here is a link to a series of 20 Videos posted over on Accurate Reloading. About 25 Buffalo being shot all by the same hunter using the same 375 rifle.

Most go straight down. A few need a follow up shot. But it does rather show that put a bullet disrupting the major organs on any animal and no vet would have a chance. These are buffalo being shot with a copper bullet of I assume 250 to 300gn. And these are 1000kg lumps of solid grumpiness. We are using 100 to 150gn bullets on animals of 30 to 150 kgs

That shiny rifle is as tall as he is!

All of Accurate Reloading consists of grumpy old men. Thus they know what is bad for them.

I haven’t looked at vid yet. But the first shot and bullet placement is absolutely all. I have put a few buff down with one shot. A couple needed following with another. From a 500 One of my sons who shot a bit high with 375 and trimmed both lungs we ended up a 3 hour follow up with 6 well placed shots. Adrenaline and a desire to survive and kill you is your enemy
