Digex C50

Buy once, cry once
Buy the C50 and you'll have a scope that will do all you want and still have good used value
Buy a Wraith for cheap and you'll have scope that's nothing like as good as a C50 and will be worth next to nothing when you come to change it (which won't be long after you've bought it).
BTW discounts can be had on the C50 - I'd try Blackwood Outdoors and ask

Cheers

Bruce

Bruce,

Have you personally compared weight of c50 against sightline n470s? I'd be more interested in your real world say than what the "official" weights are...!

Just put one on one of my rifles Ben. Looks good so far but heavy. It was as heavy as my drone I would think. Will do a proper test and see what it's like😉

Cheers Ed 👍

Illegal in Scotland on your deer rifle though
Can’t use a scope that will work in night vision even in the day

Mines on its way. I just wanted some more information so I didn’t buy the wrong nv.
I’ve had a few different ones.
For rabbits on my rimfire I find the photon xt hard to beat for the money.
But on the .243 I wanted a scope to cover deer and fox. I hate add on nv so I had to wait until I got the right bit of kit

I'm certainly in market for a new dedicated nv scope but think I'm leaning more towards new pard 008 purely as it weighs 400 something grams.

The specs say the same for both - 1.15Kg
It's a while since I used a Sightline N470S, but the C50 is a heavy lump of a scope - although no heavier than some glass scopes.
If weight is the deciding factor, then get a PARD 008 - better than a Wraith HD and lighter.

Cheers

Swapped a pard 008 for the c50. The type of shooting I do I am hoping the wider field of view on c50 will help

Is the C50 image really much better at last knockings than a Wraith HD?
I cannot say as I have had nothing to do with a C50 yet, but find it hard to believe it can be much of an improvement in reality, a Wraith HD really is a tremendous colour low light performer.
Got to remember, Sightmark, Pard and ATN were all doing colour low light performers (around 2 and a half years) before Pulsar finally caught up.
From memory, I think the specs on the C50 sensor size were only what you would class as HD not 4k, I will go away and check this as cannot say for certain.
Just checked,
C50 Sensor 1928x1088
Screen 1024x768
Wraith HD sensor 1920x1080
Screen 1280x720.
Would not surprise me if the sensor was the same one tbh.

Extended mount comes included with wraith ultra. And with so many places doing jubilee discount that's £539.

I spotted that Benny boy, the mount I put in the total is for the HD Wraith (which still does not include the reach back mount😥).

Are we really becoming a Nation of wimps wittering on about the weight of a C50??? On my rifle I don't really notice the difference from my S&B Precision Hunter.
I'm 62, been through the mill with Cancer & numerous operations and still tramp around with a heavy outfit, all be it on lowlands. This isn't willy waving or a "Redneck" attitude, I just sometimes despair. Whinge/rant over.

Aye, if we all went back to open sights we might notice the difference!

As said above, I could only possibly imagine the Pard 008 feeling any lighter in the shoulder, dont think I could tell the difference of any of the others.
