Probably same people that stand up on the plane after landing to be off first just to wait at the baggage carousel as they think there bags must be first.

Flew Aeroflot into Moscow en route to Nairobi 40 years ago. The Russian passengers all applauded on landing in Moscow.
I reckoned it was 50/50 - a spontaneous gesture of affection for the motherland or

A lad i used to stalk with was a mad keen fly fisherman. He liked Salmon fishing up the Kola peninsular in Russia. He said the Helicopters they used were ex Soviet military. They were pretty knackered and scary. Flying internally in Russia is not for the faint hearted i believe.

I flew long haul for 20 years for work, only ever saw 2 punch ups on a plane
One on the Moscow- Sakhalin flight and the other on the Sakhalin-Moscow flight
Refreshment was a 1/2 bottle of vodka and a glass…. No mixer

A similar thing annoys me, well not exactly annoys but makes me wonder, is when everybody stands up on a plane when it lands then stands around for ages until the door opens and allows exit.
I always wait until the gangway is almost clear then get up.
Sometimes people ask me if I want to get up but I always, tongue in cheek, reply no thanks I'm waiting until last then I can keep what's left behind ; -)
