im sure this has been covered but i was wondering would anyone else know of a cost effective (very cost effective) method of lining the inside walls of a cold room? got a quote for 140 for sheeting for an 8ft x 4ft x 8ft room. ideally we looking something for more around the 50 quid mark

For £50 you could possibly line it with bubble wrap and cover that with bacofoil, but I'm not sure it would pass regs.....

Its just for a put together for personal use. Nothing commercial. Found some sheeting from a different supplier at 20 a sheet

Got 2mm pvc cladding at 20 a sheet incl vat. Local place here in lisburn. Name dropped and haggled a bit.

try finding someone scrapping an insulated fridge truck body...........provided you are prepared to do a bit of graft cutting the size panels out you want, you may find you can get them for nothing as it costs to dispose of them.............you can buy the corner capping to join the panels and sikoflex or similar off of gray adams or similar who make the bodies

Done exactly that. Just hit it lucky. Threw this together with a bit of MacGyver jiggery pokery. Just to get an engineer to fit the unit now.

OOOOH now that looks very neat.
Cheers. We were massively lucky. Got the chiller out all in one piece but the sizing wasn't right but with a bit of stock checking and planning we were quite resourceful and cut it to fit bt keeping as many of the joining corners as possible to lock it all in place. Also managed to salvage a load of plastic sheeting which matched up perfectly with what we needed to tidy it all up. Also managed to get a blue roll dispenser, hand sanitizer dispenser, a bug zapper and best of all a stainless steel sink all for £0. Just a few hard days graft. And being "gentle" with a sledge hammer 😆

Shaping up nicely, looks a little larger than the initial spec. Nice fly free space later in the year.
Good eye. Wasn't far off spec. Ended up 8'6" x 5ft x 8ft sure more room to hang those extra deer in ;) lol. Still gotta make a pipe line in the concrete to make the drainage from the chiller. Thinking about tiling the chiller floor and painting the rest of the garage floor. Should be a nice we butcher's shop by the end of it lol
