This is where the problem lies ^^^^
I see a parallel situation in the farming industry, where farmers are so wedded to the comfort of their subsidies that they (and the groups that support them such as nfu, nsa, etc etc) won't stand up against the introduction of new and pointless legislation, for fear that they will be docked their payments if they refuse to comply. And so the steamroller passes on....
Currently there is a choice with regard to DSC1 etc, but unless we avail ourselves of the right to exercise choice, eventually the choice will be withdrawn. That, I believe, is the crux of what Jimbo says about all this.
