Just came across this new (to me) DNT thermal, didn’t quite understand some of the clip on instructions & looking at the clip it wasn’t attached to the rifle sight. Perhaps one of the more knowledgeable members could perhaps explain

The only video clips I've seen show it attached to an AR15 type of rifle. It was mounted on a Picatinni rail in front of the optical scope. Below is a video explaining more

After looking at the videos and at the DNT USA website, my conclusion is that the Hydra is a thermal scope primarily designed for AR platform shooters who are most likely targetting pigs

It can be used as a thermal spotter, thermal scope and as a thermal add-on where the Hydra clips onto the extended upper picatinny rail and sits in front of the day scope
There are 3 models:
HS225 - 256x192 sensor and 25mm lens, x3 base magnification - $885
HS325 - 384x288 sensor and 25mm lens, x2 base magnification - $1330
HS635 - 640x480 sensor and 35mm lens, x1.5 base magnification - $2200
No LRF or ballistic calculator is fitted or available
I suspect when (if) they arrive here those dollar prices will become pounds
I'm sure some will prove me wrong, but I don't see a big UK market for this type of scope
