A quick AI search using the photo says it is a male Crossbill, which is a type of Finch.

Funnily enough I was thinking of a juvenile Bullfinch at first, then I had a look at the Pine Grosbeak (female) and thought you may well be right and that it's got a bit lost!

Yes , it looks like it had a touch of the bird flu, or the touch of a sparrowhawk talon.
