Does anyone re-load PPU .243 cases?

Just wondering if anyone uses PPU brass to re-load with and if it's any use or not, being cheap ammo in the 1st place?

Yes - I'm doing this. Currently on my second reloads of cases and all seem fine so far. I'm not a match shooter, but I've noticed no difference in grouping etc on reloading.

they are OK
not the greatest brass but far from the worst
quite hard compared to some other brass (hard brass does not always react well to numerous sizings)

if they shoot OK as factory it is difficult to see the benefits of buying lots of gear to reload them
just cash in £20 for every 100 and buy another box or two!

They reload as well as any other, I find them better than the federal but that is just my opinion I am far from an expert at reloading!

I reload them in .308 and 7.55x55, both calibres have been reloaded at least 10 times with no visible effects, I full length reload, trim to length and anneal every 4-5 times.

Have used lapua and partizan in 308. The neck concentricity is under 2 thou as good if not better than lapua. The results are the same both perform very well in my sako trg42. in my opinion they are equal and in many cases superior to some american brands.
I also use them in 6.5x55 243 7.5x55, 30-06, 8x57, they are
readily available and better priced than most. you wont go wrong using them.

Ok thanks guys I have a load of cases in .243 (not sure how many) and some in .308 if anyone is interested PM me. Was going to re-load but as it turns out I don't shoot enough to merit it now that both my rifles group PPU ammo well,

Just load them,get a lee loader in 243,308,around 25 quid,a tub of vhit140,70quid,does both callibers I'll bet you get as good or better groups.I load mine all the time.

I did think about it mate but with my BASC discount I can get both .243 and .308 for a tenner a box and they group around 1" at 100yds if I do my bit off a bipod so plenty good enough for my wonky eyes!!!

Now that would be some good info to post for SD members. .243 and .308 with a BASC discount at £10 a box.
I think most of SD members are already BASC members so that would be a real bit of info worth knowing, please tell.

No problem guys it's Fenland Rural Sports near Warboys, Cambs. Can't remember exactly how much but I think it's £10.50ish tops per box of 20. You get 10% off everything in the shop except commission sales of guns which they are selling 2nd hand for someone else.

Over a year it easily pays for my BASC subscription as the price of ammo is not hiked in the 1st place to allow for the discount!!
