Dog food

I use Skinners Ruff and Ready (R&R) too for my two labs.

A bit more...

My old bitch who I use only for stalking now is 12, she thrives on R&R, do fair bit of stalking, but also is good in helping in her old age.

My younger bitch, shes 8, (who I shoot game with, and has never seen deer) also does soooo well on it too.

I have bred two litters, I started them both on BetaPuppy, but at adulthood have always put them onto R&R.

Has anyone tried day old chicks,i used to feed my first lurcher on these with a sa37 vit supp mainly because i had birds of prey as well then but she absloutely thrived on them, did make her fart a bit though

I feed Gosbi ( a spanish brand ) to most of my dogs . Price / qyality very hard to beat . Very little droppings and very hard . Easy to clean the kennels .
The pups / bitches in pup and with pups / some trial dogs get Royal Canin a french brand . Top quality but higher in price .
The RC 4800 ( 32% protein / 30 % fat ) is great for dogs wich are hard to get on weight .

Are there any CSJK9 users on this forum ?? How muh do you like it ?

All the best .

Am feeding CSJ lamb & rice (wgf) to one of my Welsh terrier bitches as she has a wheat allergy - seems to be helping with the itchy skin and she looks good on it.

The other bitch has a litter at the moment so she's on Purina Pro Plan puppy until they are weaned, then she'll go back to Beta.

Neither dog is worked at present - if I had regular stalking I'd train the first bitch up as a deer dog as she has a fantastic nose! Both will be going beating with me when the season starts.

Feeding

We feed Royal Canin, very little waste, the dogs enjoyit and wolf it away, even the picky eaters.
Coats and skin are great and easy to maintain the muscle.
Have tried cheaper food but I find it's false economy, you need to feed more, so you need to clean out more.
If you've a few dogs and a kennel club affix, you can register with them as a breeder, buy the food cheaper (and bigger bags) than in the pet stores and they deliver it for free.
