I have to wonder "where are all the SD experts today?"
There are blokes on here that have shot,trapped,dogged,snared a million foxes.

I'd tend to go for a vixen. However, you get so much variation in foxes, big vixens, and small dog foxes. You can never be sure till you've had a look at the rear end.

Small dog foxes can look very much like vixens, around the muzzle.

One thing is fairly certain in John's picture: this one's still alive!
