That is a bit up and down, that's for sure.

Good on him.

Edit. I'm 58 on the weekend and still hunting the mountains - just a bit slower, and I've stopped carrying them out whole. Stuff that is meant to move should be kept moving for as long as you can manage.

You know how it is over there. I`m old enough to qualify for a chopper these days. That bench we rested on was a tough climb to.
Btw for those here that naysay, here is a good example why you don`t or shouldn't have exposed stainless when you are hunting. AND he`s in the shade ffs.

Yes.

The Ruger SS mod77's were the worst, I watched a mate walk across a valley one day and it looked like he was carrying a light saber.

That said, it was his work rifle and he shot well over 2k deer with it, so who knows. I hit mine with a can of green paint and don't worry too much about it any more. Comes off with paint stripper if I feel like a change.

Its even easier to tape them, the self sticking cloth type tapes are fantastic.
The tape on my 7mm SS rebarrel has been on it for years and years. Had a look through emails and its been on since the start of 2009 and she`s been in every sort of weather and hunting conditions. Recommended.
