I have a good breeder in Denmark with deutsch drahthaars, he has a male available at this moment in time, he are my two I have had from him, I lost the brown and white one before Christmas and just picked up the black and white puppy this week I have high hopes for him, the brown and white could track anything, his drive was exceptional as well, he would always find wounded ducks etc

Thanks for that I seem to remember they had a bit of a poor reputation a few years ago ,have things changed?

I do have to admit I was very sceptical years ago and probably a bit over critical
Ive now spoken to him on several occasions regarding dogs and find him a decent bloke.
Yes its his business so don't expect a pup for the same money as you'll get one from Fred up the road.
Importing a dog isn't cheap as I can say from experience and I do my homework myself and drive over myself too.
A friend of mine bought a GWP off HDE and its a cracker.

Sorry for the delay in my reply, he has a brown and white male pup 16 weeks old from tested parents, nice tight coat and nice beard, if PM I can send you his details and you can make direct contact, he also has a black and white male 17 months old he took back from someone at VJP and scored 79 out of 81

How can anyone even recommend a dog , when we don,t know what you require and also nice if it could also do . Just be clear in your mind before you jump in a dog will hopefully be with you well into its teens .
If you cannot decide the Lab will adapt , just make sure you the plan for for the dog of any kind if you don't the dog will find something you wont like

I have had quite a few dogs and am clear in my mind ,that I want to know what is, if anything, available and if they are working dogs then most would probably be OK.Further more dont be condescending as if you are the only person who knows anything about dogs.

You extrapolate a lot that does not follow my actual post , that was not there in my post ! IMHO your post does not give enough information . My suggestion was to get a Lab BECAUSE THEY ADAPT . You have also ignored questions from others who have also asked for more information When your looking for a well bread working dog any good breeder is going to question you a lot deeper before putting you on a list of possible clients .
I suggest you read my post again,the only question I have ignored is yours as you are talking out of your backside . I have had Labs, Springers, Golden retrievers,Gwp and Gsp. You seem to have an opinion that exceeds your experience .Please bother someone else.
So that's like 8 gundogs minimum you have owned minimum and you haven't yet settled on a breed that really suits your gundog needs then ! Yeah i certainly can't help you .
