One of our dogs has a sensitive stomach and has so since day one (she's about 4). She is on medicated pet food and is usually regular as clockwork, but every now and again, maybe 4/5 months of so so gets out on sync. She usually has one in the morning, one when out for a the morning walk at 10-11 ish and one at dinner time.
She seems to get out of kilter every now and again and ends up going at about 22:00, 03:00 and about 10:00. When she is like this she will bark to be let out at 04:00 and runs straight out and craps as if she is desperate. It's worth saying that her stools are usually good and firm but when out of sync they get a bit softer, but not wet.
Any thoughts, all I was planning on doing was fasting her for a day to get her emptied out. What does the collective think or recommend. It generally sorts it self out after a few weeks but that 03:00 wake up call is not fun.
