Don't worry darling, size isn't everything...

I had Mrs.S62 order me some Mil-Spec CLP from a well know online delivery company (I am not trusted to have my own account).

Having seen this stuff on YouTube - just next to the "Magic Bean" section - I thought I would get a bottle.

Today the tiniest envelope in the world arrived. Obviously not for me, I am expecting a massive tin.

"Your latest waste of money has arrived", declared my wife.

"Well it can't be the CLP in that tiny envelope!"

Can it?

Not the first time I have been 'disappointed' by the size of something.

Reminded me of this famous sketch.

So then.

What's you tale of getting things 'wrong' when it comes to size?

Also, have you used CLP, and if so how was it?

My mate once asked me to re-grip his golf clubs for him, so I send him the link for the grips he wanted and also a link for the grip tape. I wanted some spare for myself as I get through lots, so I sent him a link for a 50 pack of grip tape.

He wanted 13 clubs regripping, so bought 13 x grips of the grip link I sent him but when he ordered the grip tape, he ordered it 13 times thinking the link was only for one piece of grip tape. Quite why he thought it was normal to spend £15 for one sliver of grip tape is beyond me but he had never done his own clubs before.

Anyway, he had left the clubs with me and had the order sent direct to my house so I could sort them out for him before he next played. I get this package with 650 grip tapes in and thought it was some sort of mistake. I sent him a message saying it seemed the seller sent the wrong amount and he then told me he thought it was a bit odd that basically pieces of sticky paper to regrip golf clubs could cost nearly £200. The penny then dropped and I realised what a moron he had been. I still have a cupboard full of grip tape and have not had to buy any for years.

Daughters mates mum bought a bargain/giveaway priced new carpet on fleabay, it arrived in an A4 envelope as it was living room carpet for a dolls house.

Close protection squads?
Not as daft as it sounds.

The Derringer has an 'effective' range of (up to) 8m.

Most 'close protection' incidents are 4-7m.

Could never understand why we had to classify at distances up to 25m? Unless of course you are running away?🤗

If you’ve not used CLP before - you don’t need much. It is expensive but very good stuff. Really well suited to semi autos, just drop a bit into the mechanism and keep shooting. I wouldn’t bother using it on a bolt action or OU or SS shotgun. I used to use it a lot on M4/SA80 which all ran really well when under heavy use.

A friend of mine returned from the pub one evening and went on eBay. He found a delightful table with an inlaid chess board on the top. ‘Just what I’ve always wanted’ he thought. And he couldn’t believe there were no bids on it at £5, with only 25 mins to go. So - he opened another tinnie, settled down to watch the last few mins of the auction and couldn’t believe his luck when he ‘won’ the item for the aforementioned sum of £5.
Three days later he’s preparing to go out to work when the doorbell goes. Postie offers him a sheet to sign and a small package is produced from Posties sack and handed over. Mate walks back to the kitchen to finish his cofee thinking ‘what the hell is this? I don’t remember buying anything small recently’ tears it open with fevered excitement to find - a delightful table inlaid with a chess board on the top.
For a dolls house 🏠!!

Silly bastard then told selected trusted people at work. Another mistake.

This ^ It was designed for automatic weapons , something it does very well . I use it on all of my semi auto rifles , pistols and shotguns as well as my pump actions . A drop on the bearing surfaces lasts for a very long time . A bottle of the above size will last you a while , great stuff .

AB

I dont and would not use it if there is any chance of working near dust or dry climate such as sand it will glue you action and suck in dust like a henry hoover .
Dry Teflon is a better choice than a CPL oil yes it cleans and lubes but it get tacky and works only when clean and crud free .

Well now.

This little bottle of 'Unicorn Tears', will now be reserved for use on the S1 Benelli.

Another blinding purchase S62...😖
